Ben from Bottles and Chains posted recently that he had made the trip out to the old New Norfolk velodrome to see how the old track was holding up. Sadly, it was no longer a rideable affair (except for a cyclocross oval-track series perhaps. He also asked if there was any info about New Norfolk or any other Taswegian tracks out there, so I had a dig through the archives and came up with the following info. Some of it mentions New Norfolk explicitely, some not, but all still is interesting stuff.

This is one of the earliest issues of the magazine that I have to post. Funnily enough, there are a few familiar names mentioned in it, most notable John Beasley, who still has a bike store in Footscray. Is it the same John Beasley? Perhaps someone might know?
